Comic for Monday, September 25, 2006 The first comic   Previous comic   My day job as reporter and editorial cartoonist frequently has me writing about and (in cartoons), criticizing local politicians and newsmakers. This comic was written about a county commissioner whose ties to local developers have drawn much criticism. Did I mention he is running for re-election? I drew this parody of his election button offering people a more appropriate button which they could cut out and wear. Little did I know the commissioner himself would cut out my parody button and wear it during a county commission meeting last week! He walked up to our county beat reporter and told him to "Thank Dave for the button."
